CONCLUSION

While many theologians believe in the Calvinistic theory and support it, this author must disagree with them. He is not alone in this stand, for many theologians disagree with the Calvinistic theory and accept the Foreseen Faith theory. This author is not in complete agreement with the traditional Foreseen Faith theory, but recognizes that it is closest to Bible doctrine.

One reason for the rejection of the Calvinistic theory is that it does away with man's freedom of choice. The angels had the choice to follow God or Satan and so does man. If man has no choice, there is little reason to be concerned about evangelism. The Calvinistic theory has lead many into the anti-missions and anti-evangelism movements.

The doctrine of election means that we are the chosen of God because we have chosen His Son. Having done that, we are now predestined to become the image of His Son in this world. Man must have the choice to accept or reject Christ or else it is not a whosoever gospel, nor is man free to make his own choice. Predestination does not show the love of God to the world, for it would be unjust to those who are not chosen. God is not a rejector of persons and this doctrine would make Him so.

AUTHOR'S NOTE

This study is not yet complete. There are many areas I have still to explore in this paper. It does present the results of my studies so far. I hope that in the months ahead, God will allow me to complete this study and bless me with His eternal truth.
